Publication Ethics

This scientific code of ethics statement is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers, and authors/writers. This statement of the code of ethics for scientific publications is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which in essence, the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications is essentially guided by publication ethics, namely

1. Neutrality, namely free from conflict of interest in managing publications;
2. Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers; And
3. Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editor in Chief

  1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.
  2. Determine and arrange the chairman and editor membership.
  3. Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and other parties.
  4. Appreciate things that are confidential, both for contributing researchers, authors, editors and reviewers.
  5. Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright and other intellectual property rights.
  6. Review journal policies and convey them to authors, editors, reviewers and readers.
  7. Create behavioral code guidelines for editors and reviewers.
  8. Create writing guidelines for authors as a reference in journal publications.
  9. Carrying out regular journal publications.
  10. Prepare permits and other legal aspects

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Journal Editors decide which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings which refer to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism. In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editorial team is based on the principle of equal treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts without distinguishing between the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality or political ideology of the author.
  2. The editor ensures that the author's writing does not involve SARA or anything that could be detrimental to the publisher and coordinates the author's writing with the publisher's editor-in-chief if the writing is a little controversial.
  3. The editor provides comments on the author's writing in accordance with EYD (Enhanced Spelling) language or language that complies with the journal's standards so that readers can understand what the author wants to convey, through comments written in the manuscript.
  4. The editor strives to continuously improve the quality of publications.
  5. The editor prioritizes freedom of opinion objectively.
  6. The editor provides revisions, clarifications, corrections and apologies if necessary.
  7. The editor receives, reviews and follows up on complaints from all parties involved in journal publication.
  8. Editors encourage the desire and initiative to educate researchers and authors about publication ethics.
  9. The editor does not maintain his own opinion, the author's or third parties' opinions which could result in non-objective decisions.
  10. The editor motivates and encourages authors/writers, so that they can improve their written work until it is suitable for publication.
  11. The editor reviews and determines the layout of the manuscript to be published so that it matches the journal template.
  12. Configure system options and manage user accounts, Register editors, reviewers and authors.
  13. Manage journal features.
  14. Upload/publish papers that have accepted status.

Reviewer Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide objective and unbiased written feedback regarding the scientific value and contribution of the manuscript to scientific development.

  2. Reviewers are responsible for quotations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism in the manuscripts they review.

  3. Shows whether the manuscript writing is clear, complete and relevant, and whether the manuscript is in accordance with the scope of the journal.

  4. Do not provide criticism or comments that are personal and controversial.

  5. Journal reviewers are objective in maintaining the confidentiality of information and do not use information from the manuscripts they review for personal gain/interest or other groups.

Author Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Make sure all authors have met the authorship criteria according to the template.

  2. Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations, details and conclusions.

  3. Respond to comments from peer reviewers and the editorial board in a professional, scientific and timely manner.

  4. The author must ensure that the article submitted is original work that is free from plagiarism and if the author uses other people's work or words, the author must write quotations in accordance with good and correct citation standards.

  5. Make a statement that the paper sent for publication is original and has never been published anywhere and in any language and is not in the process of being sent to another publisher.
